Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are strongly recommended to minimize wait times and ensure prompt service. We also accommodate walk-ins, though there may be longer waits during peak hours.

Typically, a full MTO medical exam is completed within 20–30 minutes. Certain additional assessments—such as cognitive tests for drivers 80+ or a urine screen—may extend the appointment by a few extra minutes.

Please bring:

  • A government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport).
  • Your MTO medical form, if you have already received one from the Ministry.
  • Your prescription glasses or hearing aids, if you use them while driving.

A list of current medications and any relevant medical documentation (e.g., specialist reports or test results).

No worries—we can provide you with the required form during your visit and guide you through completing it correctly.

We evaluate and document any conditions that could affect your driving fitness. If follow-up or further clarification by the MTO is needed, we’ll advise you on next steps and may recommend treatment, specialist referral, or further medical reporting.

We submit completed medical forms directly to the MTO on your behalf, ensuring the process stays streamlined and confidential. If you’d prefer to submit the documents yourself, just let us know.

The frequency depends on your age group:

  • Age 65 and above: annually (every year)

While we offer comprehensive MTO-compliant exams, walk-ins for standalone screenings (like vision or hearing) are possible if you specify in advance. Please call ahead to confirm availability.
